Endorsements You’d Rather Avoid
Down in the comments for The Wheels on the Bus, below, reader Craig says:
For the record, I have never called Obama a terrorist. My concern is that the terrorists want Obama to be elected - that’s not encouraging.
Actually, to the extent that the terrorists say anything, or that anything they say can be trusted, they’ve said just the opposite. And it’s hardly surprising, because as long as we’re stuck in Iraq–and it doesn’t matter if we’re winning, losing, or tied and going to extra innings–we’re preoccupied, limited as to the further projection of military power, broke, and best of all from their POV, we’re over there, on their territory. “We’ve been invaded” is a pretty powerful recruiting tool.
Just forget about who is running for a moment and ask yourself: which would be the terrorists’ worst nightmare: the guy who frees the U.S. to rove about and confront them wherever they are, or the guy that keeps us playing tether-ball in Iraq?
…Whether we should be roving about and confronting them is a whole other question. An indefinite game of whack-a-mole seems like a bad use of national resources.

Looks like you’ve thrown in the towel. Sorry, even if Obama is elected it looks like it is too late for your side to manufacture defeat, although I suppose there’s still hope for you to cling onto.
“the guy who frees the U.S. to rove about and confront them wherever they are”
That’s what has been going on anyways no matter how much you want to ignore it.

The Afghan-Pakistan border is nothing more than a turkey shoot.

“The Afghan-Pakistan border is nothing more than a turkey shoot.”
This may be the funniest thing in that entire ridiculous post.
