    I was confused for a second, until you mentioned how fiscal reality has nothing to do with these.
    I live in Los Angeles, which still hasn’t managed to get public transportation right. It’s unreal. Los Angeles, for Pete’s sake!

    The state of Maryland funds public transportation via the gasoline tax. So what happens when many people stop driving and take the trains, causing ridership to reach an all time high? They have to cut services due to loss of income.

    You couldn’t write comedy (and tragedy) like this.
