Idle Musings: Obscure Analogies

Timothy Geithner is Andrew Mellon without the redeeming art museum.

Perhaps a better way to put it is that Mellon wanted to kill the weak banks to heal the economy, Geithner wants to save the weak banks to heal the economy, and both were wrong… But Mellon still had the cool art museum and Geithner seems unlikely to leave so positive a legacy.
