I can drive less than ten minutes from my house, and get an organic-raised, ready to be cooked 4 or 5 pound chicken from the local Whole Foods for about $10. Why, if I were a doctor, would I ever want to be paid in live, still having their heads feet and feathers chickens, when I could get the ready to eat version for $10? Can you see a doctor accepting 20 or so chickens for a typical office visit? Who has 20 chickens running around their yards? The whole thing is insane.
