Don't underestimate the effect that high prices can have on binge drinking either--the theater that does this in Atlanta has prices that make a beer at Yankee stadium look like a deal.

Mr. Goldman, I believe this is much ado about nothing on your part. We already have several theaters here in Los Angeles that have restaurants and full-service bars attached, and they are a huge success. You have to remember that going to the cinema is a completely different kind of activity than seeing a sporting event. Sports and sports crowds bring out the worst in people. Plus most people don't get falling-down drunk at restaurants; they usually indulge in a cocktail or two and nothing more. I would imagine if you're just killing time before the picture starts you'd be content with a beer.

Your seems spot on but I think you have to recognize that what you're saying probably only fits with the tristate area.

I moved west to LA 12 years ago and I have to say it's always a shock going back to NY for a ball game and seeing the police state that exists. Easily 20-1 more cops in NYC.

And for the record booze, movies and food work just fine out here. People have somehow learned how to control themselves.
